<image:title>Home - It’s never too early to tell your story</image:title>
<image:caption>Your life matters. Your voice and stories are unique, and sharing them is the most valuable gift you can give your loved ones— your roots are their roots, your journey and wisdom enrich their identities, your past and present live on in their future.</image:caption>

      <image:title>Home - If not now, when?</image:title>
<image:caption>We’ve all found ourselves thinking of our loved ones, wishing we had asked the questions, or regretting not having recorded the answers we were sure we would never forget… This applies to our own lives too, memories we intend to share one day… We think it will be easy to do but we keep leaving it for later, or when we try to do it on our own, we get stuck. I’m here to facilitate your journey through memory lane by connecting with you or your loved ones and guiding the recorded interview in a process that doesn’t have to be overwhelming or hugely expensive. The most important thing is to do the interview and preserve it — on audio, video, writing or a combination. We then consider further options according to your wishes and resources. The interview is your treasure!</image:caption>

      <image:title>Home - Desiree Gezentsvey</image:title>
<image:caption>A little bit about myself I was born in Caracas, Venezuela, and emigrated to Wellington, New Zealand in 1985 with my husband (NZSO violinist Yury Gezentsvey) and our three daughters. We are ever grateful for our life in this beautiful corner of the world. I have an MA in Creative Writing (International Institute of Modern Letters), an MA in Literary Translation Studies - English/Spanish (VUW) and training in Oral History (Alexander Turnbull Library, Wellington). I care deeply about people’s personal stories and enjoy the process of interviewing and facilitating the recollection and safeguarding of memories which are to be treasured by present and future generations. I love to write in a variety of genre, such as poetry, fiction, theatre and film. My creative writing works include a bilingual book of poetry, ‘Next Time Around / la próxima vez’ (pub. Steele Roberts), which deals with the subject of immigration and separation from loved ones. The poetry piece ‘Under the Southern Stars’ was recorded and broadcast by Radio NZ, and a number of my poems have been set to music by award winning NZ composers Gareth Farr and Dorothy Buchanan. My play 'Nuclear Family' won the Best Stageplay Award (Script) at the 2011 Moondance International Film Festival Competition (USA) and received 5-star reviews in Adelaide (AU), London (UK), Edinburgh (IE), Auckland and Wellington (NZ). My latest play, ‘Caging Skies’, based on the novel by Christine Leunens, had its world premiere at Wellington’s Circa Theatre and has now been translated into Spanish, French, Euskera and Japanese. Among the life treasures I’m most grateful for (connection, nature, music, art), top has to be delighting in family life and rediscovering the world through the gorgeous eyes of our six Kiwi grandchildren!
